Market Consulting Corporation offers a range of litigation support and expert witness services for both claimants / plaintiffs and respondents / defendants in matters involving the following:
Investors outside the United States may often have grievances that require resolution before U.S. courts or arbitration panels. Any given situation may provide one or more avenues for identifying an appropriate venue for such resolution, although arbitration is often preferred because of its confidentiality for foreign clients who might otherwise be called upon to divulge publicly highly personal information on financial assets.
As international investment expert witnesses, MCC has participated in the recovery of investment losses for South American, European and Asian clients and is thoroughly experienced in the challenges such matters present. We work closely with several domestic U.S. attorneys who specialize in investment matters and are happy to assist in establishing productive liaisons between U.S. and non-U.S. legal representatives.
In recent years an important and growing part of our business has resulted from losses of Central and South American clients who have been involved in American equity markets through U.S.-based brokers. We routinely review such cases for non-U.S. law firms to determine the feasibility of such liaisons.
Frequently, we have been invited to present talks and participate in seminars on investment matters for international audiences. These include an around-the-world speaking tour at various futures exchanges in Asia and Africa, as well as talks on securities matters before UN-related organizations and European Community bankers and regulators.
